​What Inspired Ken to Create Coaster Sets?

​

Ken started creating designs from photographs by printed them on small squares that were held magnetically to a strip on the wall. Rather than hanging the photographs and leaving them to eventually blend into the background, he enjoys rearranging them. The frequently changing configurations makes the art more dynamic and allows it to be seen from different perspectives.

Since coasters can be moved, rearranged, and recombined, they naturally have that dynamic feel Ken has always loved. Seen in a new room, they are seen in a new light again, literally and figuratively.
